While I were browsing the internet I came across this beauty of a piano.

And I became obsessed with this piano ! It looked so weird with all these levers and the more I looked at it the more I wanted to know about it. So I made researches !

The Thomas Trianon 606

This is the Thomas Trianon 606, an organ made by the Thomas Organ Company in the 70's. The specificity of this organ and most of the Thomas' organs is that they possess these lever that each makes a specific sound when played. It can be quite interesting as it can allow the player to make several notes on one instrument. This organ is elusive as I dont see it listed on anywhere and the few auctions I've seen are around the 400$ which seems quite cheap for an organ like this [Or perhaps the Trianons has a lesser quality ?]. However there are other versions of the Trianon.

The Thomas Trianon 6820 was released in around 1977. It's a direct upgrade to the Trianon 606 with more levers, I think more keys too ? From what I've gathered from several blog readings another great difference between the 606 and the 6820 is that the 6820 has an LSI Tone Generator. First of all I'm not a music expert so what I say may be completely incorrect but the main thing that I understood was that it is much easier to repair and more common than the one used by the 606.

Here's how it sound

The last Trianon released was the Trianon 6824 in 1979. Litteraly I've found nothing of it, no images, no feature that makes it stand out from the Trianon 6820. The only proof I have of this existence is its mention in a blog about organs. So from all I've gathered the Trianon 6820 is the "definitive" Trianon and the 6824 may only be a rerelease or a simple fix of some problems.

I could go on about each of the Thomas' organs but I have mostly images of the organs than any idea of the features. So I'll just make a medley of the images of all Thomas' organs that I have found !

The Palladium Model 610

The Lawrence Welk

This one has weird pedals. I wonder what these can do ?

The celebrity 800

The Electra 800

The Traditionnal 870

And that's it for all I've found. If you have any informations please contact me ! I would happily up my knowledge on these organs.

In overall I love these designs, it feel old but yet very charming ! And it seems to hold much more quality than the MIDI Keyboard that I actually own [I play a bit on this but I'm not good at piano]. I would happily buy a Trianon 6820 if I found since amongst all of the Thomas' it's my favorite one. Sadly this company seems to have dissapeared and I can't find any recent activity from them and finding an auction of these organs online is next to impossible. Maybe one day I'll luckily find one listed.
